We’re in a golden age for personal development “newsletters”.
But, in order to take advantage of the incredible wisdom, resources, and inspiration available, you have to know where to find it.
Following are the newsletters I most often recommend if you’re looking to improve your life (and skip the fluff)…

1. Your Next Breakthrough
If you haven’t heard of Mark Manson, you’re missing out. He’s the author of the bestselling book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck (read it if you haven’t already). And his weekly email newsletter include one idea, one question, and one exercise that could spark your next breakthrough. It has for me (multiple times).
2. Raising Empowered Kids
I’m a dad. And if there’s one thing I care about more than anything, it’s raising my daughter to live a meaningful, happy life, and teaching her the skills necessary to do so. Raising Empowered Kids is an awesome newsletter jam-packed with practical content that helps me do that.
3. The Tonic
If you only subscribe to one newsletter on this list, then The Tonic should be the one! I’m not just saying that because I’m biased (though I am because it’s my newsletter), but also because the hype-free stories and lessons we share in every email have been really impactful for our readers. I like to think of it as my daily secular “devotional”. Every email takes 1-2 minutes to read.
4. Potencia Mind
The internet is loud. I love Potencia Mind because they sift through that noise and deliver a weekly digest with mind hacks, mental health tips & high performances strategies. It’s easy to read and it’s become a necessary part of my weekly routine.
5. Early Chirp
I don’t like politics. But I do like staying informed — in fact, I think staying informed (and avoiding strong bias) is a critical part of contributing to society and growing as a person. My favorite source of news in my inbox is Early Chirp.
6. The Weekly Rep
It’d be wrong not to include my favorite fitness newsletter on this list. After all, fitness is one of the most important parts of living a healthy, happy life. To keep updated on recent health news and improve my exercise & diet habits, I read The Weekly Rep.
7. BookBub
Reading is a crucial part of improving your life. But if you’re anything like me, a single trip to Barnes & Noble can damn-near break the bank. That’s why I love BookBub. They share great deals on bestselling ebooks (up to 95% off), so I can read more and spend less.
8. Prequel
Again, I’m passionate about raising my daughter and being the best dad I can be. Prequel helps me prepare for the present and future with real stories, helpful lessons, and practical ideas. Definitely give it a try if you’ve got kids.
